Robert and Tamara Horcajo have run Iao Valley Inn since 2013. They have had several websites since they first started and I was honored to create the latest iteration using Elementor site software. With a focus on mobile and a great deal of material to present we developed a new design presentation.
We started with Bob’s desire to utilize a mobile menu style to save header space even on desktop and put page toppers with both image and videos in full focus. The logo is within that menu and the menu is made as a full page modal popup to present a fully styled menu that covers the screen for simple navigation. The menu follows as you scroll down for easy access from any point on the page.
We continued the front with page sections utilizing a three color scheme representative of the Inn and its surrounding environment.
The rates are globally editable from any of 4 places places and highlighting shows the current unit being viewed by using conditional CSS. This makes the site efficient to edit as rates tend to change more than other elements.
